Visiting OBGYN
Our clinic is very fortunate to have the specialist services of Dr. Laurel Smith, OBGYN from Drumheller, Alberta one Friday per month. As Dr. Smith is a specialist, a referral is still required by your family physician to be booked with her. Our office staff will contact you with an appointment date and time, if your referral has been completed.
Dr. Smith offers a walk-in teen clinic between 3:00pm - 4:00pm for female patients during her scheduled day for those UNDER the age of 18 only.
Pregnancy
Please let the receptionist know if you are pregnant, and are between 12-14 weeks, as this pre-natal visit is a longer maternity medical appointment, that may involve a pelvic exam. If you have any questions regarding these maternity appointments, please do not hesitate to call and ask to speak to a nurse or medical assistant.
Once you are in your second trimester, we will suggest that you see our PCN nurse for alternating appointments. If you have questions that they cannot answer or they have any concerns, they will communicate with the doctor(s) to provide further information.
